Our society has become extremely indulgent about suicide. So much so that, having decriminalised the personal act (or attempt) some decades ago, we are now debating whether to legalise assisting others to commit suicide. Since an overwhelming majority of people appear to want assisting suicide to be illegal, I presume that what I shall now say will be somewhat unpopular. But it seems to me that the defenders of suicide get far too clear a run. No-one ever flat-out opposes them, so few people even understand that there might be another point of view.

Get Rid Of Student Loan Debt by Lea BartonMillions of Americans find themselves carrying student loans. Some students graduated and carry the financial debt as an investment in their education, while others carry student loans for semesters they completed, but did not earn the degree. Whatever the reason, managing student loan payments can be difficult for former students.

Through the Bible, God wants us to understand what He has done for us and what we are supposed to do. As a recipient of God’s grace, how are we supposed to respond to His goodness? Why and how are we supposed to walk or live? I. The WHY of Our Walk. God has called us to become members of His family. We have been completely forgiven and have been given eternal life. Because of this, we are to “walk in a manner worthy” of this calling (Ephesians 4:1).

I have a very very large student loan. A little over $100,000. This is from 5 years of college+rent/living expenses. Sob story is I never actually got to graduate. I was a dance major and had to have knee surgery my 5th year when I was a senior and couldn’t continue as a dancer. While I was recovering my grace period ended and now I am in a forbearance. I also just recently got married. My forbearance is over in March of ‘08.

I owe at least 78k in combined loans (federal and private student) from Sallie mae. I have been putting them into forbearance to avoid default, because I am struggling I recently found out that they no longer consolidate. I am looking at combined payments of 700 to 1000 per month. Instead of paying this back in about 20 years, they have shortened it to 10 years. I am already up to my neck in bills. I have ripped up my credit cards and am paying them off. In a couple of years I will be free of car or credit card payments.

My employer pays for my tuition, but I am still eligible to take out student loans. I am debating if I should continue to use student loan money to “fix-up” my house, or just take out a home equity line. I know if I take out a loans, and if I stay in school I can keep the loans deferred and just pay when I can, but a home equity loan would require immediate payments. Also, if I hit a rough patch I can request a forbearance request.

You work hard at your job so you can get home the payroll check and put food on the table. What if you could earn some different means, possibly in your excess time, possibly while inactive on your sofa watching TV or while your children are at schoolhouse? You can make dollars whenever and wheresoever. What would you wish to do with the excess time that you will not be at your regular occupation? You could spend much more time with your family, your wife, or simply relax.

Student Loan Consolidation Options – What You Probably Do Not Know About Your Loans! By Chad Wistick It is pretty pathetic how well they really educate the students on what they can do with their loans in order to pay them off or at least protect their credit during the process. Since I once worked for Sallie Mae for about 2 weeks I was able to get the inside scoop for all the different options. This was long enough for me to be trained on the options to use on the phone when calling those with defaulted or soon to be defaulted student loans.

By Rich Lowry http://www.JewishWorldReview.com | Henry Louis Gates Jr. just got the subject for his latest PBS series, and it’s not going to be a history of the woeful consequences of yelling at cops. Dear Pastor, I presume by “governmental” you mean Hugo Grotius’ Protestant version. But what about the totally consistent Thomist/Trentian refinement of Anselmian satisfactory atonement? This is one reason I am no longer Reformed, and I’ll put it succinctly: Calvin’s attempt to dispense with condign merit in Thomas’ systematization had the unfortunate result that it shifted the aspect of change in man (penance and restoration through sacraments of the Church acting in persona Christi) to a change necessitated in God (penal substitution wherein God moves from hatred of sinner to love of sinner).

I don’t know what to do. I have 78k in combined federal and private student loans. I have already graduated and have had to put my loans in to forbearance because I cannot afford the monthly payment that is due. I have loans through the evil corporation of Sallie mae. Recently, I found out that they no longer consolidate period and that there is really no way to lower my monthly payment. I found a company that will take over my federal loans, but not my Private loans. They want $430 just for my private loans.
