Anyone have success stories of buying these kind of homes? Please share!! I’m a part time new (8 months) realtor in CA. I have sold two homes. One home a regular sale and the other bank owned. Bank Owned: Clients put 20% down, paid closing, and 20 day escrow, and attached FICOS, and proof of funds, $5K under asking price.

Some special North Park homes are becoming proposed as the Dryden Historic District. These are along both 28th and Pershing Streets that features a high concentration of homes designed and built by the renowned arts and crafts era architect/builder David Owen Dryden. With North Park homes being known for upholding their craftsmanship this proposed district is no surprise. The Dryden Historic District will feature a neighborhood of twentieth century craftsman bungalows, Spanish colonial revival homes and California bungalows built in the 1920s and 1930s.

To qualify for the $8,000 first-time homebuyer credit you must close escrow by November 30, 2009. The $8,000 first-time homebuyer tax credit is expiring very soon, so those of you who are fence-sitters out there need to get off of those fences! Unless the credit is extended, it will apply only to homebuyers who CLOSE ESCROW prior to December 1, 2009. This doesn’t mean that you’ve signed a contract and are planning to close escrow soon, your actual close date must be on or before November 30, 2009.

In case there was any doubt about Rep. Cynthia Davis’ (R-O’Fallon) sincerity in questioning the legitimacy of Barack Obama’s birth certificate, this should put things to rest:  Davis was in Orange County, California yesterday for a procedural hearing in her civil  lawsuit against the President. At the hearing, Orly Taitz , lawyer for Davis,  Rep. Tim Jones and the other plaintiffs in the case, worked through a few techinical issues, and even tried to introduce more testimony about one of their forged Kenyan birth certificates.
